Just call me Edna, Thelma, or Louise!

Okay . . . I feel like I am a 50 year old woman!!! Clomid has some cRaZy side effects! Wow! I definitely have sympathy (or is it empathy when you actually do know how someone feels) for women going through menopause! Hot Flashes are not fun . . . but totally worth it if it leads to our little one!

Happy Fathers' Day!!!

I have 4 of the best dads in the entire world! Seriously! They really are truly exceptional dads. Let me tell you about them:

1. Ray Montgomery Clark - My Dad - Oh, how I love this man!!! I don't know how he survived raising 2 daughters. I am so thankful for his courage - that he didn't take the easy way out but stayed engaged in our relationship even through my teenage years! Yikes! Now that's courage! I love you Dad!!! Thanks so much for always keeping a shoulder available for me to cry on.

2. Joseph Charles Wright (Joe, Bop) - My Father-In-Law - Wow, I am so blessed to have married into such an incredible family!!! Thank you Joe for accepting me into your family so warmly and without reservation. You have treated me like a true daughter. Thanks for your patience and for ignoring all of the screams as I have been learning to wakeboard! Ha!

3. Father God (Lord, Heavenly Father, etc. Ha!)- Is there any better?????? Oh course not! Thank you Lord for loving me this past year while I have been so unlovable. Thank you for not giving up on me and giving me what I deserve. Thank you for holding to YOUR Plan for my life! I love you and pray that I will be able to be an example of Your Love to my children one day.

4. Justin Charles Wright (Judd) - My husband - No, we don't have a living child yet, but Judd has 2 in Heaven and leads (in a somewhat Fatherly way) many as he encourages them to live for Christ. I love you so much baby and am SO proud of the man that you are!!! You will be a WONDERFUL father one day!!!

Thank you God for the Fathers in my life!!! I love you guys!!!!

The Fertility Fifteen

You've heard of the Freshman Fifteen . . . We all know that many people gain some weight throughout the first few years of marriage . . . but what about the Fertility Fifteen????? Or for me, more like the Fertility Forty!!! Ha! (Not really quite THAT much but forty had the alliteration thing going)

Yes, I have now been married for 4 years.
Yes, I have a full time job and am not as available to exercise like I did in college.
Yes, I am getting closer to 30 and everyone knows LOTS of things start to change as you get closer to that mark!

No, I don't exercise as much as I should.
No, I don't eat as well as I could.
No, I don't own a scale or count calories.

BUT regardless . . . I know, it just CAN'T . . . it just CAN'T be any of THOSE things!!! It must be the fertility meds!!!!! (At least, that's my story now and I'm stickin' with it! Ha!)

After:

Sigh. Maybe it's just the angle???? Looks like I'm getting up and running again tomorrow before class!!!

Any suggestions????

An Amazing Weekend!

Judd and I had the privilege of being present for the Vow Renewals of our dear, dear friends and neighbors - Jason and Candice Joannides. Here is a little about their story:

- Married and moved onto Walkbridge Way Spring/Summer of 2007 (Judd and I moved onto the same street December of 2007)
- each asked Jesus Christ to forgive them of their sin (because Jesus paid the penalty of our sin on the cross) and to be the boss over the rest of their lives in November 2009
- Judd baptized them along with 4 other of our neighbors in April 2010

- Jason asked Candice to renew their wedding vows now that they are both believers and to establish their marriage on that foundation

- Oh course, Candice said yes!!!

After the intimate ceremony, we met up with many of Candice's and Jason's friends and family for a celebration at our neighborhood pool and clubhouse. Congrats guys!!!! We are so happy for and proud of you!!!!! Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives!!!! We are so blessed!!

If at first you don't succeed, Try, Try again

I couldn't resist and took one my pregnancy test first thing this morning. The results were of course:

Plus, Aunt Flo came to visit so now it's official. I go back to the Fertility Doctor tomorrow morning and will begin Clomid cycle #2. I'm just ready to move on and try again!!!

Thanks again y'all for your support and prayers!!! Love you!!!

Learned Something New

In my frustration over not being pregnant yet not starting my next cycle, I did a little "research" last night. It turns out that as long as I am taking the Progesterone supplements I won't start at all - so that makes A LOT more sense. I go to the doctor Monday morning at 7:30 am for a blood pregnancy test. After the doc. tells me what I already know (that I'm not preggo), I'll be able to stop the progesterone and will be able to move on - Yippee!!! Oh course, I'm probably still going to take another pregnancy test first thing in the morning, just in case . . . (wink wink).

Thanks SO much for your continued support and prayers!!! I truly desire that God will use my experiences to bless and help others. May my openness and honesty be a comfort to you as so many of my "blog friends" have helped me by sharing their struggles and pain.

Last night

. . . was really tough. I just cried and cried. It wasn't rational at all, but who's rational when it comes to fertility???? I feel better today even though I am still not 100% sure we are not pregnant since I haven't actually started my next cycle . . . If I don't start by tomorrow morning, I'll take another test. Trying to be okay with whatever the Lord's Plan is.

God says . . .

keep waiting . . .

Psalm 113:9 "He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the LORD!"

Lord Jesus, I claim this scripture and believe with the help of the Holy Spirit to help me in my unbelief that in YOUR timing Judd and I will be parents.

Practice makes . . .

Practice . . .

makes . . .

PROGRESS??!! :)

Will activities like this hurt my chances for pregnancy????? Ha!

Wow! Just Wow!

Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow!

Why did I doubt God????

Don't I know that God's plan is ALWAYS better than mine and that He only allows heartache in our lives that will result in our benefit?!?!

If God hadn't allowed (not caused - I truly believe that God doesn't cause the heartache in our lives - they are a result of either this world, our enemy, or our choices - but God allows them to refine us and draw us closer to Him - Job 1, 1 Corinthians 7) . . .

So, back to the Wow . . .

If God hadn't allowed Malachi to pass  go to be with Him, Judd and I wouldn't have . . .
- learned how to grieve
- learned how to feel other's pain and comfort them
- sought out counseling from two INCREDIBLE people (Dr. Larry and Sue Wagner)
- made an appt. with an amazing Reproductive Endocrinologist (Thanks Lindsay P!), Dr. Gail Whitman-Elia of Advanced Fertility.
- met many wonderful people who have experienced similar pain
- learned how to accept and depend upon the amazing people around us!

If God hadn't allowed (because nothing happens apart from His Knowledge and Will) Jonah to go to be with Him, Judd and I would have never . . .
- gotten to work with Dr. Whitman-Elia so closely
- met Dr. Bowman in Steamboat Springs, CO, and left my former OBGYN
- learned that I have a genetic mutation that causes me to not have enough Folic Acid (Hello! Spina Bifida!!!) and to have blood that clots too easily (WHICH saved my life in CO but also most likely caused the loss of Malachi)
- found out that Judd has Thyroid Disease!!! Yes! We just found out that he has hypothyroidism! Which apparently explains why he is so tired all of the time . . .

SOOOO now EVERYTHING is a result of Judd's "glandular condition"! Why he's too tired to drive to GA and I need to, why he "needs" to take a nap on Sunday afternoons, etc, etc, etc.! Ha! Just kidding babe! I love you!)

So WOW!
Not only will this journey help us have a family, but will affect the quality of the rest of our lives!!!
God's plan is truly . . .
SOOOOOOOOOO
much
better
than
we
can
think
or
imagine!!!! (Ephesians 3:20)

Why did I ever doubt???!!!!

How about you?

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,"
says the LORD.
"They are plans for good
and not for disaster,
to give you a future and a hope."

Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things
God works for the good of those who love him,
who have been called according to his purpose."

Proverbs 3:5&6 "5Trust in the LORD with all your heart;

do not depend on your own understanding.
6Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take."

Sometimes . . .

I just feel left out and left behind.
