The Fertility Fifteen

You've heard of the Freshman Fifteen . . . We all know that many people gain some weight throughout the first few years of marriage . . . but what about the Fertility Fifteen????? Or for me, more like the Fertility Forty!!! Ha! (Not really quite THAT much but forty had the alliteration thing going)

Yes, I have now been married for 4 years.
Yes, I have a full time job and am not as available to exercise like I did in college.
Yes, I am getting closer to 30 and everyone knows LOTS of things start to change as you get closer to that mark!

No, I don't exercise as much as I should.
No, I don't eat as well as I could.
No, I don't own a scale or count calories.

BUT regardless . . . I know, it just CAN'T . . . it just CAN'T be any of THOSE things!!! It must be the fertility meds!!!!! (At least, that's my story now and I'm stickin' with it! Ha!)

Sigh. Maybe it's just the angle???? Looks like I'm getting up and running again tomorrow before class!!!

Any suggestions????

Katy :)

  1. I found your blog via Kelly's prayer list blog. I just suffered my first miscarriage and it's so horrible. My heart breaks for you that you have had to endure two. I said a prayer that God's will be done for you and your family.

  2. Hi cMe,

Thanks so much for commenting on my blog, although I'm sorry it's under these circumstances. I'm so so sorry to hear of your recent loss. It is certainly a loss and I know you and your husband are grieving. I will add you to my personal prayer list. It helped me to do something to remember the baby such as planting a tree, naming the baby, etc. Some people don't like to do any of that sort of thing, but I found that after a few months of just trying to get pregnant again I hadn't really dealt with the miscarriage to the extent that I needed. I'll be praying for God's Will in your life as well and know that He will fulfill the desires of your hearts as you seek after Him (Psalms 37:4).

    In His Hands,
    Katy :)

  3. Katy, I am sure you look beautiful, and all of it will be worth it in the end! I don't own a scale either if that makes you feel better! ;) And, if I posted a before and after picture, it would certainly make YOU feel better! You are still in my prayers!

  4. You are still as cute as ever Katy! As long as you are taking care of yourself, that's all that matters.
