It is a test we all hope to pass, but none of us want to take.

Is that not so true?

We want to believe that we will choose to trust in who God is and not in what He does or doesn't do. That we will be happy just with God alone if:

1. We never marry.
2. We never have kids.
3. People very close to us pass away.
4. We lose everything financially and are in suffocating debt.
5. Lose our health.
6. (Any dreadful scenario we imagine but BEG God never allows to be true of our lives.)

But will we ever know until He does?

Some of us will never have to find out. We will never be faced with any of these difficult situations. We will just continue hoping that we WOULD pass the test, but never REALLY have to take the test to find out.

While others, will take one, maybe two of the things on the list, and others maybe all of them.

  1. Totally agree! Just curious....what are your thoughts on why God allows some of us to face one, two, maybe all the things on the list and some people never face any?

  2. Hey Amy!

I don't know. I don't even want to begin to guess. I'm thankful that God doesn't give us more than we can handle, but it does seem that some people have more than they can handle. For example, a girl that I've learned about since I moved here has survived 3 years after her lung transplant due to having a terrible disease that killed both of her brothers and was passed to them from the combination of her parents' genes. Can you even imagine?!?! She can't have kids and most likely won't live past her 30s, but is still hoping to marry and adopt children for her parents to be able to have grandkids. It makes you want to cry out, "Mercy, God! Mercy! That's too much for her!" I'm trying so hard to learn from others and count my blessings. I haven't had to face so much of the heartaches that many have. Praying for and Love ya Amy!!!!! Thanks so much for your friendship! :)

    Katy :)

  3. "you never know that Jesus is all that you need, until He is all that you have." A few years ago I didn't understand the weight of what that really meant. I do now and I am thankful. The trials I have endured the past couple years have been almost unbearable, but God is faithful and it was in the darkness that my faith grew in ways I never imagined.
